Achar named EP of Click 3X Sports & Entertainment division

Click 3X has tapped Jon Achar to lead it new Sports & Entertainment division as executive producer, He is tasked with spearheading new business operations and helping to grow Click 3X’s footprint in the sports and entertainment categories. He will also lead the creative development across the group to cultivate and develop innovative concepts for clients.

Most recently, Achar was VP marketing, creative services and consumer products at ESPN, where he served on the senior executive team within ESPN’s marketing department. Achar joined ESPN in 2001, where he helped to develop ESPN’s overall brand promotional strategy, creative, and advertising fiscal planning. Prior to ESPN, Achar worked at J. Walter Thompson, HBO and FOX Sports. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, and holds a Masters Degree from Columbia University. He has earned numerous industry awards, and has been an executive mentor for NAMIC and PromaxBDA.

Aside from being a respected figure in sports marketing, he brings with him a strong list of relationships that will merge seamlessly into the Click family,” said Peter Corbett, founder and president of Click 3X.

The Sports & Entertainment group’s expertise spans the full spectrum of content from promotion and commercial, long form and corporate, design and animation, brand integration, and digital and mobile outputs for its clients. The division has already worked with massive brands such as NFL, NBA, Under Armour, Brooklyn Nets, EPIX Boxing and Whistle Sports, to name a few.

Achar brings with him Jason Yantz, who will act as sr. editor for the division. Yantz has edited for numerous clients across the advertising, broadcast and music video realms for brands including ESPN, Visa, Pepsi, NBC and NBC Sports. In addition to his creative vision and storytelling abilities in the editing room, he brings years of postproduction knowledge regarding the design, VFX, audio, and color grading workflows. His work has received numerous awards including a Latin Grammy for Best Music Video and several PromaxBDA awards for brand integration.
