Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles-based virtual reality studio Start VR has brought on Ela Topcuoglu in the new role of development executive and producer, based out of its L.A. office. She will develop strategic partnerships and increasing business development in the heart of the entertainment and film industry. This hire comes on the heels of the VR studio’s signing to talent agency UTA, to bolster its U.S. presence and continue to secure partnerships with high-profile talent that will amplify the production of both original and branded cinematic VR content. Start VR is headed by CEO Kain Tietzel. Topcuoglu will assist with the production of Start VR’s upcoming original VR project Awake, an interactive cinematic VR experience that will be shot in Los Angeles and Seattle and feature top-tier creative talent. She comes to Start VR from Jaunt VR where she supported the CEO, CFO and head of corporate strategy in developing partnerships with content providers....
