Compositor Szumski Joins Click 3X, N.Y.

Click 3X, New York, has hired Flame artist Mark Szumski. Company executive producer Jason Mayo described Szumski as being a young talent who has developed into "a first class compositor," now helping to fortify Click 3X's visual effects team.

Szumski, who is also skilled in desktop compositing systems such as Shake, was previously on staff at Charlex, New York. There, he accumulated numerous credits on television commercials, including the 2002 re-branding campaign for Kohl's out of McCann-Erickson, New York, and a package for Cingular supporting its New York launch, via BBDO New York. He also contributed to the Coca-Cola spot "Opus," via McCann-Erickson.

A graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia, Szumski began his career as an editor with Parallax Pictures, Philadelphia. His clients there included the Discovery Channel and Comcast. Szumski also has an interest in independent film production. He created visual effects for If Spielberg Made a Snuff Film, directed by Click 3X producer Todd McCammon, and he recently made his own directorial debut with a short entitled Frosting.

Szumski came to Click 3X's attention during the course of its ongoing nationwide search to identify emerging postproduction talent. The company provides visual effects, computer animation and broadcast design services to the advertising and television industries.

Phil McIntyre is Click 3X partner/head of national sales and marketing. Cathlyn Cantone represents the shop nationally for broadcast design work.
