Four Nominations for "Three Billboards" Top SAG Awards Tally

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, topped the field of SAG Award nominations with four--for Best Cast, Leading Female (Frances McDormand) and a pair of Supporting Male nods (Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell). Lady Bird was next, scoring three nominations--Best Cast, Leading Female (Saoirse Ronan) and Supporting Female (Laurie Metcalf).

In addition to Three Billboards and Lady Bird, the nominees for Best Cast are Get Out, Mudbound and The Big Sick.

Best Actress nominees are McDormand, Ronan, Judi Dench (Victoria & Abdul), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) and Margot Robbie (I, Tonya).

Best Actor nods went to Timothee Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name), James Franco (The Disaster Artist), Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) and Denzel Washington (Roman J. Israel, Esq.).

The SAG Awards have over the years been a strong barometer of the Oscar race.

On the TV front, Best Drama Cast nominations were earned by: The Crown, Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger Things, and This is Us.

Nominations for Comedy Ensemble went to: Black-ish, Curb Your Enthusiasm, GLOW, Orange is the New Black, and Veep.

SAG Award winners will be announced and honored during a January 21 telecast, on TNT and TBS, hosted by Kristen Bell.
