THE SPOTS
The :60 "Umbrella" features a series of vignettes that tie the brand and personality of each of Ford’s products under one theme and tag line: "Time to change your expectations. What you need in a car comes out of what you need in life." In "Pink Bike" (:30), a young boy, who is stuck riding his sister’s bicycle until his birthday, places the bike in the driveway behind the family’s Ford Windstar, hoping for it to be run over. Thanks to Ford’s "reverse senses system," mom stops in time, much to the boy’s chagrin. The ad closes with the tag, "Ideal for life’s little hazards."
"Umbrella" broke July 12; "Pike Bike" began airing July 2.
