THE SPOTS
"Wrapper" (:30) takes place in a car where a young man fishes around in the back seat, finding a broken cassette, a dirty sock and finally, a Starburst fruit chew. The driver, watching him in the rear view mirror, asks, "Hey, you gonna eat that?" as the guy gleefully pops the candy into his mouth. The words "Starburst. As long as it’s wrapped" appear supered onscreen over the image. In "Pink" (:30), four guys walk down the street until one of them instigates a fight by demanding the pink Starburst. "You just can’t call pink," one of the others responds. Finally the guys resort to the game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who gets the pink Starburst. "Starburst. Making pink acceptable to guys" supers onscreen.
"Wrapper" began airing Aug. 6; "Pink" broke Aug. 20.
