THE SPOT
"Hospital" opens on shot of a hospital room, where such videogame icons as Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot and Sonic the Hedgehog are shown bandaged up and lying in the intensive care unit. Suddenly the animated figure of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger—star of EA’s videogame of the same name—struts through, swinging his boomerang and frightening the patients. As footage of the EA game is shown, a voiceover states, "There’s a new hero out there, and he’s not going to let anyone stand in his way."
Spot broke Nov. 5.
