Tool of North America has signed Saturday Night Live (SNL) director/writer Paul Briganti for commercials and branded content worldwide. Known for his weekly SNL digital shorts packed with top cast and celebrities, Briganti has directorial credits that include TV comedies Adam Ruins Everything (truTV), Imaginary Friend (NBC), and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW).
Briganti was also a staff director at CollegeHumor, and has directed his feature film debut Big Brother Volcano for Gravitas Ventures. Briganti additionally created projects for The Late Late Show with James Corden, Funny Or Die and The Onion.
Among Briganti’s notable SNL efforts are Melissa McCarthy’s musical transformation into Sean Spicer, and Totino’s parody spot starring Kristen Stewart. Earlier, director Briganti had been repped in the ad arena by production company Merman.
“Having Paul on our roster really bolsters Tool’s comedy offering,” said Nancy Hacohen, Tool’s managing director. “He is excited to collaborate with agencies and brands to cook up a little funny.”
