Sweetshop has restructured the management of its operations in New Zealand. Fiona King, previously managing director of Sweetshop New Zealand, has been promoted to the role of director of productions for Sweetshop’s growing global brand initiatives and entertainment division.
The role is positioned to work alongside chairman and founding partner Paul Prince and global executive producer and founding partner Sharlene George. As Sweetshop strengthens its entertainment channels, the new division broadens platforms for its roster to express their creativity and craft.
Meanwhile, Kate Roydhouse has been appointed to work alongside Ben Dailey as co-executive producers leading Sweetshop New Zealand.
Roydhouse has shot all over the world, working on everything from lean documentaries to large-scale productions. Having spent four years in London leading WPP’s content marketing agency Colloquial from startup, Roydhouse also worked on global brands at Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
Last year after returning to New Zealand, Roydhouse showed her intentions as an industry leader by speaking about unconscious gender bias at Spikes Asia.
