Sweetshop has signed director Nicolas Jack Davies for commercials and branded content globally. Davies, whose work spans film, TV, spots and music videos, had previously been represented by Pulse.
Davies’ work has been nominated at the Grammy Awards and MTV MVAs, and has won a host of awards across advertising, film and TV, including a prestigious Grierson award for the Channel 4 documentary Payday. Commercially, he humanizes brands by bringing a sense of drama and passion, working with clients including Barclays, Mailchimp, Intel, Google, Nike, YouTube, Facebook, Stella Artois, The National Lottery, Dr Martens and FedEx.
His latest feature film, Rudeboy , will be released in autumn 2019. The feature documentary, about the intersection of Jamaican street and U.K. punk subculture in the 1960s/’70s, has been screened at more than 30 film festivals, including a world premiere at BFI London Film Festival and a U.S. premiere at DOC NYC.
