Rhinoceros Editorial, New York, has expanded its roster with the addition of editor Stu Eisenberg, who was formerly at New York-based Ruff House Editorial, from 1998 to 2000.
At Ruff House, Eisenberg cut such spots as Planters Peanuts’ "Nutty Woodpecker" and "Nutty Dog" via FCB, New York; Ford Mustang’s "Billy" and Ford Expedition’s "Play Ball," out of Uniworld, New York; and a 35-spot campaign for Long John Silver’s restaurant chain via Doe-Anderson Advertising, Louisville, Ky.
Prior to his tenure at Ruff House, Eisenberg was an editor at Pi, New York, (formerly known as The Pi Edit Company) from ’94 to’98, and before that at the now defunct Dennis Hayes & Associates, where he worked for 11 years. Throughout his career, Eisenberg has edited spots for a wide variety of clients including Diet Coke, Little Caesars, Staples, AT&T, Tylenol, Revlon and Pepcid AC.
"Comedy cutting has always been my thing, but with all the toys that are available at Rhinoceros, I’m excited about the prospect of increasing my knowledge of these tools to make cutting spots more effective," said Eisenberg. "Rhinoceros has a terrific approach to postproduction as it keeps pace with the current technology and adds the right personnel to manage that technology."
David Binstock, president/ CEO of Rhinoceros’ parent company, Multi-Video Group (MVG), said that for several years he and Eisenberg had discussed the possibility of the editor joining Rhinoceros. "We are glad that it finally happened. He’s very in tune with our ‘one-stop’ philosophy, which will give him a great deal of flexibility as he continues to evolve his already considerable talents," Binstock concluded.
Other MVG-owned and -associated companies are Rhinoceros Post, Rhinoceros Visual Effects & Design, Cool Beans Digital Audio and WAX Music and Sound Design, all based in New York. Associated international companies are Gravity Post Production, Tel Aviv, Israel; and Digital Renaissance, Oberhausen, Germany.
Eisenberg joins a team of editors consisting of Steve Schreiber, John Starace, Dave Mester, Matt Epstein, Jim Wright, Jim Romaine, Frank Demeri and Ciro DeNettis.
Rhinoceros Editorial is handled nationally by in-house reps Jack Hubler, Barbara Lamon and Annie Cotton.
