Director and animator Peter Sluszka, known for his multimedia and stop motion expertise, has joined Troublemakers for representation in France. He continues to be handled in the U.S. market by animation studio Hornet. Sluszka has directed commercial campaigns for such brands as Amazon, Land Rover, Hermes, Citroen, Honda and McDonald’s while also creating music videos, short films, and animated sequences for feature films and TV. Sluszka has won awards including Cannes Lion, Emmy, D&AD and One Show Pencil honors, as well as multiple festival awards. His latest stop-motion film, Hardboiled, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Sluszka began his career working in TV and music videos, with stints at MTV and animating for noted directors including Michel Gondry. The addition of Sluszka continues the infusion of talent at Troublemakers, which recently took on representation in France for Le Cube, a design and animation studio with offices in Madrid, Sรฃo Paulo and Buenos Aires. Paris agency Artefact 3000 has brought Anh-Dao Lรฉpinaux aboard as social lead and Jean-Christophe Royer as sr. creative. Lรฉpinaux, with a background of four years at Marcel as a community manager for brands like Contrex, Granola, Meetic, and Banque Populaire, later transitioned to independent work for three years. She collaborated with various Parisian agencies (Havas, VLMY&R, MediaMonks, Babel, Rosa Paris) on brands such as FDJ, Samsung, Monoprix, Air France, DS Automobiles, and AXA. Formerly a sr. creative at Publicis Conseil, Royer began his career as a copywriter at DDB, followed by roles at Young & Rubicam and Les Gaulois. He later served as creative director at BETC and Buzzman. “Dune: Part Two” and “House of the Dragon” Win 2 HPA Awards Apiece
Dune: Part Two and House of the Dragon each scored two HPA Awards during a gala ceremony at the Television Academyโs Wolf Theatre in North Hollywood, Calif. on Thursday night (11/7). The HPA Awards honor trailblazing talent in the postproduction industry, celebrating standout achievements in color grading, sound, editing, restoration, and visual effects across theatrical features, commercials, and episodics.
Dune: Part Two topped the Outstanding Color Grading--Live Action Theatrical Feature and the Outstanding Sound--Theatrical Feature categories.
House of the Dragonโs two wins were for โThe Red Dragon and the Goldโ episode which scored for Outstanding Visual Effects--Live Action Episode or Series Season, and Outstanding Editing--Episode or Non-Theatrical Feature (Over 30 Minutes). In the latter HPA Creative Category, House of the Dragon tied with the โPart Six: Far,l Far Awayโ episode of Ahsoka.
