Production house LAIR has added director Sam Ciaramitaro to its roster. Ciaramitaro has helmed spots for such brands as Chevy, Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Company, Hyundai, Kellogg’s, Marines, McDonald’s, Morgan Stanley, Nationwide, Porsche, Toyota and the U.S. Army. He has placed his work at the forefront of social issues and conversations, with projects like his photo essay on the 2020 protests along with the Take me OUT to the Ballgame short film for the Chicago White Sox–-a bold statement in support of gay rights and inclusion within the White Sox fan community. His work has been awarded several Cannes Lions, earning his first Cyber Lion win with a campaign for the U.S. Army. He also wrote, produced and directed a six-part docuseries for MLB that follows six minor league athletes chasing their dreams all the way to the Major Leagues….
Director Eva Dolezalova has legally changed her surname. She is now Eva Vik and continues to be repped globally by RSA Films and Black Dog Films. The filmmaker decided not to carry the name of her father any longer because he was not involved in her life. Instead the Czech-born director opted “to continue the name of the clan of powerful women in my family.” Vik is the surname of Eva’s grandmother who went from being in hiding in then Czechoslovakia during World War II to becoming a well-respected designer of hats. Only 31, Vik has accrued a long list of honors as a director. She earned a place in SHOOT’s New Directors Showcase in 2022, won a Tribeca X Award in 2022 for her branded film titled Serpentine for Bulgari, and her short film Maestro won Best Director and the Jury Prize for Best Drama at the ISA Awards. Other recent work from Vik includes Oliver Peoples’ “Nineteen Sixties” and original sci-fi short Raven, which debuted on Vogue this year. Her second campaign for Bulgari will launch in September….
