Peter Giles and Paul Briggs, who joined Ware, U.K.-headquartered Cintel International Limited in January as investors/managers, have entered into a deal to buy the company’s business and assets as well as shares in U.K.-based telecine CRT supplier Brimar Limited, for $11.3 million (translated from British pounds). As previously reported (SHOOT, 8/11, p. 1), Cintel had been in receivership in the U.K. while continuing to do business internationally and in the U.S. The transaction is expected to be finalized by month’s end….Director Marcos Siega, who helmed the recent MTV Awards’ Best Group Video winner, Blink 182’s "All the Small Things," through Bonfire Films of America, Los Angeles, has signed with bicoastal/international hungry man for spot representation….Larry Byrne, executive producer of Chicago-based Ebel Productions, has taken over as the new president of the Midwest chapter of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP).
