After six years as president of bicoastal RSA USA and Black Dog Films, Bruce Martin will be leaving to pursue other opportunities, possibly in affiliation with the Scott companies. Linda Ross will become managing director of RSA USA and Black Dog. Ross joined RSA seven-and-a-half years ago as head of production, becoming VP two years ago. RSA USA has created the positions of creative director/East Coast and creative director/West Coast; appointments will be made to fill these posts shortly…. Director Tom DeCerchio, formerly of bicoastal Reactor Films, has joined Los Angeles-based Morton Jankel Zander, according to MJZ executive producer David Zander…..There’s been much talk about executive producer Ron Hacohen and director John Mastromonaco who’ve been talking much to each other in recent weeks. Word is that they have a new venture in the offing. Mastromonaco’s last roost was Reactor Films. Hacohen departed from bicoastal HKM Productions back in January….More than 100 members of the Chicago production community recently held a preliminary "town meeting" to discuss concerns over a slowdown in business. Chicago industry folk are considering the formation of a committee to further assess the situation and examine the cost of production and other factors that may be contributing to the downturn….
