McDougall was formerly with bicoastal Production League of America, a spot/music video division of Chelsea Pictures. Armstrong comes over from Eyeball/New York, where during a brief stint she was involved in promo work (e.g.—HBO, the WB Network) and commercials. Previously, she spent four years on staff at Topix/Mad Dog, Toronto, where she began collaborating regularly with director Floria Sigismondi, who’s handled in Canada by The Partners’ Film Company, Toronto, and in the U.S. by Believe Media.…Micha Riss has left R!OT Manhattan (formerly Manhattan Trasfer), New YorK, where he was VP/creative director, to launch his own New York-based design firm called Meccanica….Coma*industries, a Los Angeles-based spot house launched last fall by director Henning Winkelmann, has opened a music video division under the aegis of executive producer Martell Rose. Music clip directors at the new venture are: Bill Yukich, formerly of now defunct Shooting Gallery Productions, Prentice Smith, Demian Lichtenstein, K.C. Amos, Katja von Garnier and Charlie Deaux….New York production and animation house Pitch has signed director/animator Patrick Smith….Santa Monica music and sound design house Ear to Ear has gone bicoastal, opening an office in New York headed by composer Gil Talmi, who came aboard the company in January. Ear to Ear owner Brian Banks serves as creative director for the Manhattan and Southern California operations. West Coast-based executive producer Amy Lyngos is also set to produce for the N.Y. shop, until an East Coast producer is hired….Missy Galanida has been promoted to executive producer of music videos at Hollywood-based production house DNA; she still retains her title as directors’ rep for the shop…. Chuck Roback, formerly of Tape House Editorial, New York, has joined Moving Images, New York, as chief engineer….Janusz Kaminiski is once again available to direct spots after wrapping cinematography on Minority Report, directed by Steven Spielberg. VCCP Hires Trio Of Creative Duos
Global communications network VCCP has brought three creative duos on board: Charli Camber (née Plant) and Laura Saraiva; Lance Boreham and Tom Dyson; and Jack Snell and Joe Lovett.
Associate creative directors Camber and Saraiva are a British-Portuguese duo known for creating entertaining, culturally influential, and emotionally resonant work. They are best known for “Waiting to Live,” a National Health Service (NHS) child organ donation campaign that placed 233 bespoke dolls representing children on the transplant waiting list in medical waiting rooms across the U.K. The campaign won over 50 awards, including three Cannes Lions, the Grand Prix at the Clios, ADC*E and Eurobest, as well as multiple D&AD Pencils.
Camber and Saraiva join VCCP after three years at VML, where they contributed to four agency pitch wins and worked across global brands including Batiste, Beko, and Duracell. They also helped launch the award-winning mentoring app Magpie and created “Check Me Out,” a provocative cervical cancer awareness campaign that gained traction on social media.
Boreham and Dyson join VCCP as a senior creative team. The duo first met on the renowned Watford ad course in 2014 and later reunited at isobel, where they delivered standout campaigns for Reed, Travelodge and Thortful. Their work has been recognized across the industry for its creativity and effectiveness.
Snell and Lovett also join VCCP as a senior creative team, marking a return to the agency where they spent the first seven years of their careers.
