THE SPOTS
Seven humorous :15s showcase Terminix’s "Problem Solved!" guarantee, as well as the 1-800-Terminix number. "Party Wall" takes place at an elegant party where a man walks over to a beautiful woman. He tries to casually lean against the wall, but falls through the termite-eaten structure, crashing to the ground. "Garden Rake" shows a woman sprucing up her garden by the side of her house. When her rake gets caught against the home’s wall, she tugs and part of the termite-infested wall crumbles, revealing a man working at a desk inside. For both of these ads, the announcer says, "It’s termite season." In "Kitchen Swarm," a pajama-clothed man is about to enjoy his bowl of Sugar Bombs cereal when his front window is inundated with a huge swarm of termites. "It’s termite swarm season," the voiceover states. "Basement" shows a man opening the door to his cellar. As he closes the door, he hears a noise. He reopens the door but hears nothing, but upon closing it, he notices the sound again. "It’s pest season," the voiceover says. In "Dinner," a couple enjoying a romantic meal is interrupted when the man notices that the dinner roll is walking away. The voiceover points out, "It’s ant season." "Scream" opens on a beautiful home at dawn. The lights turn on in the bedroom, then downstairs in the kitchen. Finally a loud scream is heard, prompting the voiceover: "It’s roach season." And in "Shower," a woman prepares to bathe, but as she opens the curtain, the music from the shower scene in Psycho is heard. "It’s spider season," the voiceover concludes. Each ad ends with the tag, "Terminix ’em!"
