Dean Winkler, COO of the New York Media Group and president of Post Perfect, New York, has appointed Steve Clark as VP, audio engineering, at the New York Media Group. In his new position, Clark will be responsible for the technical operations of the company’s four audio entities: East Side Audio, Lower East Side, Mixed Nuts and Superdupe Recording.
After graduating from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio, with a degree in electrical engineering, Clark entered the music recording business in ’85, interning at Nashville music houses 16th Avenue Sound and Masterfonics. From there, he moved north to Solid State Logic, New York, where he worked from ’89 to ’94 as a field support engineer. In ’95, Clark moved to Post Perfect, where he provided engineering design and support until ’98. He is returning to the New York Media Group after a stint at AF Associates of Northvale, N.J., where he worked from October ’98 until January.
The New York Media Group is an organization providing a myriad of post services to the commercial, broadcast, music video and feature film industries. Its family consists of the aforementioned audio companies as well as Post Perfect, Cyclotron and Crush Digital Video, all in New York.
