Stéphane Gaubert has joined Havas’ Les Gaulois Agency in Paris as a creative director.
Xavier Beauregard, co-president and chief creative officer at Les Gaulois, chose his partner from Leo Burnett, Gaubert, to join his team of creative directors. Together, they have teamed on multi-award winning campaigns such as “Ne serait-ce qu’une seconde” for the Mimi Foundation or “TheWayYouAre” for Samsung to name only a couple.
Gaubert began his career in 2003 at BBDP & fils as a copywriter, then TBWAParis and Leo Burnett before taking his first creative director position at Fred & Farid in 2015. This last experience enabled him to strengthen his digital expertise, win new business and more than 50 international awards, notably on the well-known campaign #MaPlaceEstDansLaSalle. Over the years Gaubert has earned assorted awards, including five D&ADs, 17 Cannes Lions and eight Grand Prix honors. During his career, he has worked for national and international accounts such as Nissan, SNCF, Charal, PlayStation, Nivea, Amnesty International, McDonald’s, and BNP Paribas. More recently, he led creative for the likes of Club Med, General, Humanis and Gemo.
In the big picture, CCO Beauregard related: “With the recent appointment of Alexandre Drouillard as creative director and the recruitment of [creative directors] Hadi Hassan-Helou and Jérôme Gonfond, the arrival of Stéphane answers the strong ambition of the agency in creation and gives an additional impulse in particular to social strategies.”
Gaubert said, “To join Les Gaulois was an obvious step for me. With Elisabeth (Les Gaulois president Billiemaz) and Xavier, we have the same project to accelerate the creative development of the agency to serve the business of our customers. And then of course, the idea of going back on an adventure with Xavier was more than enticing.”
