THE SPOTS
Two Hispanic market :30s promote the restaurant chain’s new Natural Cut French Fries. The spots spoof 1970s vintage TV crime dramas, and cast Jack in the Box’s mascot, Jack, as an undercover police officer who confronts an unscrupulous chef in a busy restaurant kitchen (the chef’s "crime" is that he cuts the peels off the potatoes). A fight ensues that carries on from the first spot ("Nooooo!") to the second ad ("Siiiii!"). Both commercials end with a pitch of the Natural Cut French Fries, which are made from unpeeled potatoes.
Spots broke in August.
