Independent agency Grupo Gallegos has hired Sebastian Garin as executive creative director. Garin is a veteran creative director known for bringing creative distinction and recognition to Latin American offices of international agencies like Leo Burnett, Grey and Publicis.
At Grupo Gallegos, Garin will report to chief creative officer Marty Orzio and will lead creative responsibilities for several key accounts at the agency.
Most recently, Garin worked as executive creative director at Leo Burnett in Mexico City, where he led creative for notable brands such as Corona, Kellogg’s, Whirlpool and Always. Garin’s work on Corona included the lauded “Drink Blow Drive” campaign, which called attention to irresponsible drinking in Mexico.
Prior to Leo Burnett, Garin worked as a regional creative director at Ponce Buenos Aires, a Lowe Campbell Ewald agency. While at Ponce, he worked on Axe and Stella Artois as well as several local brands. Before joining Ponce, Garin was an executive creative director at Grey Buenos Aires, where he was a key driver in the agency’s #1 ranking by Grey’s Global Creative Council. He also helped make Grey a contender at the Cannes Lions Festival, where the agency was recognized with 11 Lions in five years.
Grupo Gallegos is the Hispanic market shop for such clients as Comcast, The Clorox Company, California Milk Processor Board (Got Milk?), JCPenney, Wonderful Pistachios, Valvoline, Carnival Cruise Lines and Foster Farms.
