Robin Fitzgerald will be joining BBDO Atlanta as EVP, chief creative officer, effective Sept. 12. She was most recently VP, executive creative director at CP+B in Los Angeles. In her new role, Robin will partner with Drew Panayiotou, president and CEO, BBDO Atlanta, to shape and oversee the agency’s creative output.
As ECD at CP+B L.A., where Robin worked for the past five-plus years, she created business-building, award-winning work across the agency’s broad client spectrum, which included such brands as A-1, Grey Poupon, Netflix, Old Navy, PayPal and VitaminWater. Her work garnered Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, and more, including an Emmy nomination. Prior to that, she served as a creative director at TBWAChiatDay L.A., creating successful campaigns for clients such as Energizer, Gatorade and Nissan. She first gained national attention as a copywriter at CP+B L.A., helping to launch BMW’s Mini in the U.S. She’s also been named one of Business Insider’s “Most Creative People in Social Media Marketing” and “Most Creative Women in Advertising.” She began her career in Nebraska, working as a copywriter for Bozell Omaha.
“Not only is Robin fantastically talented, but she also understands the always-on world in which today’s clients operate, embraces technology and analytics and, generally, is someone who can lead the way forward,” said David Lubars, chief creative officer, BBDO Worldwide, and chairman, BBDO North America.
“BBDO Atlanta is a national agency that has evolved into a place that is well suited for brands that are more considered and complex purchases and that demand omnichannel creativity,” noted Panayiotou. “Robin’s prior experience, proven track record and innovative orientation make her a dream fit for what we do and what we hope to do even better for our clients. Bringing her on board was a no-brainer. Besides, the East Coast will open up a whole new perspective after so many years on the West Coast.”
Said Ms. Fitzgerald, “I love places that love making great work and am looking forward to making a lot of it with the team in Atlanta.”
She will be joining an agency with positive momentum in that BBDO Atlanta has recently won new clients such as Norwegian Cruise Line, Toys “R” Us, Novant Health and the Georgia State Lottery.
Sinners and Saints Adds Apple Pie To Its Branded Menu
Bicoastal Sinners and Saints--the multidisciplinary studio overseen by managing director/executive producer Heather Heller, and partners/EPs Yann Henric and Thomas Carroll--has added Apple Pie Tabletop to its roster for branded content. Known for its food and beverage content creation, Apple Pie comprises the husband-and-wife team of director/DP Gene Dubin and director/art director Alisa Volodina. In addition to representation, the move expands Apple Pie’s production capabilities through the combination of its centrally located full-service studio in New York and a newly established mobile studio in Los Angeles. Apple Pie recently teamed with Sinners and Saints on a Wienerschnitzel project created by Innocean.
“We believe that our dual studio strategy positions us uniquely in the competitive landscape of food and beverage storytelling,” said Heller. “By blending the artistry of the New York studio with the flexibility of our Los Angeles location, we can tailor our productions to meet the unique demands of each project, regardless of geography.”
“Working with Sinners and Saints in the demanding field of tabletop was an absolute pleasure,” shared Apple Pie Tabletop in a joint statement. “Warm welcome, unwavering support and dedication--everything a director can ask for. The entire experience was both enjoyable and rewarding. We will not miss an opportunity to collaborate with them again.”
“The first thing you notice is that Apple Pie has beautiful work,” Heller observed. “Having worked with them, I can say that Gene and Alisa are extremely meticulous and detail-oriented; their combination of talent and agility appeals to agencies and clients.” Also appealing to Heller is Apple Pie Tabletop’s brisk international...
