THE SPOT
"Garage," which features Honda’s Humanoid Robot ASIMO, opens on a quaint suburban home. As the garage door is slowly raised, Richard Dreyfuss’ voiceover explains: "Sixteen years ago, Honda engineers set out on a dream. To create something with unprecedented mobility and feet." The camera pulls back to reveal the feet of a robot, who then walks from the garage down the driveway. "Say hello to ASIMO, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot." A newspaper boy rides by on his bike and throws the morning paper onto the driveway, as ASIMO waves to him. "Who knows—one day it may be the eyes, ears and legs for people in need," continues Dreyfuss. The :30 concludes with the tag, "The power of dreams."
Spot broke in June.
