THE SPOT
"Magic" (:30) opens on a winter road where a Cadillac handles the slippery corners with ease. Pine trees in the background sway softly and snowflakes fall like paper-thin diamonds. In the next scene, a different model of Cadillac takes a turn on a mountain road, as the viewer notices a town off in the distance. The spot transitions into the town center, where a Cadillac SUV is shown maneuvering the streets. As the vehicle passes shops and street corners, light garlands and shop windows switch on, as if the car is infusing the town with holiday cheer. While passing by, the car causes a string of holiday bells hanging along the street to chime, one after the other. Finally, as a sporty-looking Cadillac heads back out onto the open road, a voiceover states, "Experience the magic. The season’s best. Cadillac. Break through."
Spot broke Nov. 15.
