Executive producer Michael Garza has joined the leadership team at RESET.
Garza is an award-winning producer who relocated from NYC to Los Angeles and signed on as EP with RESET. This collaboration launched with a series of productions for directors Yann Demange, Joseph Kosinski, Ian Pons Jewell, as well as a bespoke project for the Los Angeles Rams with director Wally Pfister, an Oscar-winning cinematographer.
“Rams House” is a cinematic :90 second film that honors the diversity of the Angelino fans and the high energy Rams football team. The film plays on the stadium’s 70,000 square foot Infinity Screen, innovatively-designed by Samsung, which is the first and only 4K end-to-end videoboard in sports.
“Each scene was specially crafted in 20:1 native resolution for arguably the largest screen on the planet,” stated Pfister. “Michael is a rare creative partner who puts story craft first, then reverse engineers the production details into a pristine methodology. It was a real hands-on collaboration that streamlined the creative and technical process.”
Fellow RESET EP Jen Beitler explained, “When considering our EP expansion, we quickly found that Michael is native to the way we work, providing holistic experience, support, and inspiration exactly when needed.”
“I have had the pleasure of working among some of the best talent in the industry,” said Garza who had most recently been freelancing prior to joining RESET. Earlier he had tenures at Psyop and before that Serial Pictures. “Each person at RESET–directors, producers, and staff–has a special superpower that makes them shine, but what makes this role unique is the fellowship in this ensemble which translates into a wonderful co-creative process and works that are truly indelible.”
The Many Hires Jeremiah Wassom As Group Creative Director
Independent agency The Many has added Jeremiah Wassom as group creative director.
Wassom most recently worked a decade at Deutsch LA where, as SVP/creative director, he led the Taco Bell account and won new business for the agency. His agency past also includes AKQA and TBWAChiatDay. His creative work has touched the QSR, video games, automotive, fashion, and culture brand sectors. He also served eight years with the United States Marine Corps.
“Throughout his career, Jeremiah has helmed work that has not only made me personally jealous but has consistently pushed brands to show up in memorable and innovative ways,” said Josh Paialii, head of creative at The Many. “One look at his body of work and you will see his passion for storytelling and craft has raised the bar for entire categories, driving participation with many brands’ most loyal fans. Beyond being a world-class creative director and maker, Wassom is a proven team player and strategic thought leader. He’ll be a great addition to the leadership team at The Many working across all accounts. His role will be immediately felt as he guides and supports each of the creative leads in the department.”
A 20-year creative with agency, brand, and freelance experience, Wassom has forged a creative approach which focuses on crafting engaging connections rather than simply make ads. He sees the need for advertising to mean more, not simply do more.
The Many believes that true business growth is made possible by harnessing the power of participation and partners with brands to forge deeper connections with consumers, cultivate trust and loyalty, and maximize marketing spend and execution.
