DROOL, a London-based production house launched last year by director Freddie Powell and EP Genevieve Sheppard, has secured its first U.S. representation, connecting with indie firm Champion to handle the East Coast. Prior to directing, Powell was with Wieden+Kennedy for 12-plus years, moving between Portland, Ore., and London. He freelanced after his W+K tenure. Sheppard’s experience includes producing at W+K and BBH before freelancing. Rep firm Champion is helmed by Joanna Margilaj, J. Patrick McElroy and Julie Margilaj. DROOL joins Champion’s exclusive roster of companies which includes such shops as Florence, Landia and Lost Planet……
Women-owned bicoastal edit house The Den has secured three indie firms for coast-to-coast representation. Red Reps–led by Holly Ross, Jeremy Hodges and Vanessa McLean–will handle sales on the West Coast for The Den. Renee and Melissa (Renee Case and Melissa Erke) will cover the Midwest. And taking care of the East Coast is Milktoast, a creative management firm founded by Philip Fox-Mills, Jake Strom and Dani Ostrowski….
