Indie rep firm SamuelGuthrey, the next iteration of Gay Guthrey & Associates, has expanded its Midwest sales coverage for Lucky (Lucky 21 + Lucky Post) to now also encompass the Texas market. The collaboration is, in many ways, a return home for Gay Guthrey, who relocated to Austin two years ago. A native of Texas, Guthrey and the founders of Lucky share a long history and friendship that goes back to the nascent days of their respective careers. Guthrey was encouraged by a then rising director Jeff Bednarz to transition from an agent to rep. She quickly learned what the job entailed and fell in love with a career of connecting people. Moving from Texas to Los Angeles and Chicago, Guthrey became a well-known rep and founded her own agency Gay Guthrey & Associates. Bednarz of course is a mainstay on the directorial roster of Lucky 21. Sushant Rai is the new VP, sales in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa for TVU Networks, a technology and market company in cloud and IP-based live video solutions.
