Escallon was the DP on a Disney PSA entitled “Make Your Mark – Ben Horowitz,” which earned a 2013 Daytime Emmy Award. During the past few years, he has served as a DP on numerous music videos, commercials and documentaries, working with such stars as Flo Rida, Chris Brown, A$AP Rocky, Miguel, and Rod Stewart, and such directors as Erik White, Sylvain White, Constellation Jones, Cameron Duddy, Sophie Mueller, Colin Tilley, and Isaac Rentz. Riedel Communications, provider of real-time video, audio, data, and communications networks, has named Robert Pennington to serve as its U.S. sales manager, broadcast, for the East Coast. In this new role, Pennington began his professional career as a broadcast television news producer at WCIV-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, and at WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio. While with WCIV-TV he also served as camera operator, video editor, and microwave and satellite remote live truck operator. Pennington later served as program director for MDTV at West Virginia University, where he helped to design and supervise a multisite telemedicine program and worked to help standardize the university’s classroom technologies. Subsequent roles with systems integration firms and resellers included that of branch manager and account executive at Seneca Communications and account executive at Video Central South. He later served as sales manager and product specialist at Anton/Bauer, commercial products manager for Sima Products, and in business development and sales roles at Texolve Digital. Pennington is based in Connecticut and reports directly to Riedel’s Christopher Street, general manager, North and Central America….

This strategic advance will be spearheaded by Kevin Salvidge who has joined PlayBox Technology (UK) Ltd as manager of business development-channels. Salvidge has over 20 years of broadcast industry experience. He joined Marconi Instruments in 1982 as an apprentice and later field service engineer. In 1994 he progressed to Sony Transcom as a field service representative before moving into sales roles with Sony, Grass Valley, Thomson Multimedia and Omneon.
