THE SPOTS
Two :30s promote Burger King’s Big Kids Meal and a promotional tie-in with the feature Men In Black II. In "Short Order," a family walks up to the restaurant’s counter and orders a Chicken Whopper and 67 Big Kids Meals—"two for my kids and 65 for their little alien friends." The counterman jokes that the alien’s skin is green, as the mom replies, "Actually, they’re kinda pink." The camera pans down to show a group of little pink men standing below the counter. In "Variety," an apparently conventional family is enjoying their Burger King meals in the restaurant. But when the camera pulls back, it is revealed that the family has octopus-like tentacles in addition to their human arms.
