THE SPOTS
Two :30s promote the services of Dominion, one of the nation’s largest producers of energy. "Dog" opens on a canine sitting in front of a house, looking somewhat menacing. A voiceover states, "Our customers tell us they like the convenience and accuracy of Dominion’s new automated meter reading system. Our employees say they are happy for other reasons." The spot then shows a smiling Dominion employee driving past the dog while in the safety of his truck. "Fishing" shows off the picturesque landscape of Sherando Lake, Virginia. The narrator explains, "Volunteers from Dominion and Trout Unlimited built a special kind of pier. Why? Maybe because they figured that every Virginian should be able to get to one of the state’s best fishing spots, whether they have a four-wheel drive vehicle or not." The camera then shows a man fishing off of the pier who is seated in a wheelchair." " ‘D’ is for doing the right thing. ‘D’ is for Dominion," states the voiceover.
Spots broke in August.
