Visual effects designer/supervisor Craig Price has joined Click 3X Los Angeles in Santa Monica. Click 3X, which also maintains offices in New York, Atlanta and San Francisco, is building a new Henry suite for Price.
Price spent the past three years as a visual effects designer at Hollywood Digital, Hollywood. During that time, his projects ranged from serving as Henry artist for Motorolas Cant Always Get What You Want campaign via McCann-Erickson, New York, to visual effects designer on Janets Jacksons Run Away music video. Both projects were directed by Marcus Nispel of bicoastal RSA USA and edited by Jonathan Del Gatto of Red Car, bicoastal with additional offices in Chicago and Dallas. Price said he frequently collaborates with Red Car and Nispel.
Price moved to Click in order to extend his creative options. He explained: Ive joined Click 3X because I find that theyre going against the grain by allowing me to get out from behind the box and work as a visual effects supervisor on location as well. This lets me do what I do best which is to draw on the visual effects production and postproduction process and get the best from both areas.
Click 3X L.A. executive producer Laura Richards said that Price is now positioned to be able to be deeply involved with his clients projects; from visual effects supervision to integrating computer animation.
A London native, Price moved to Auckland, New Zealand, for his first job as an assistant online editor on commercials at the now-defunct shop Vid Com in A82. Then he worked as an editor at Video Images in Auckland from 84 to 85 before returning to London to work at the commercial post house SVC as an editor. In 91, he began freelancing and moved to Hollywood in 92 to join The Post Group, Hollywood, as a senior editor. He moved to Hollywood Digital three years ago.
