THE SPOT
"Green Room" (:60) features a waiting room of people—celebrities, icons and regular folk—to convey the idea that the HP Media Center PC is a multimedia entertainment center where TV, photos, music and videos are all available in one package. As Abe Vigoda, Randy Johnson, Rachel Hunter, Penn & Teller and Abe Lincoln all chitchat in pairings, the stage door suddenly opens and the Flaming Lips are told that they are next. The scene then transitions to the real world, where a man sits in his living room, remote control in hand, clicking through the menu options on his HP Media Center PC. He finally settles on a Flaming Lips music clip, which fills the screen. The ad ends with the tagline, "Invent."
