Independent creative agency David&Goliath (D&G) has hired Peter Bassett as director of digital production. Reporting to Mike Geiger, D&G’s managing partner and chief digital officer, Bassett will oversee all digital production, technology, digital design and user experience design at the agency.
Bassett’s arrival signals the agency’s continued transformation of its digital team and investment in top talent, following Geiger’s appointment as chief digital officer last year.
Bassett joins D&G with more than 19 years of production experience. He was most recently director of production at TBWAChiatDay, during which time he helped create cutting-edge, disruptive campaigns for brands including Adidas, Nissan, Miller Lite and Netflix. Prior to that, he spent time at Ogilvy & Mather New York as executive director, digital producer, as well as 180 Amsterdam as director of digital productions where he oversaw campaigns for Adidas and Grey Goose. Over the course of his career, Bassett also did stints at such shops as Goodby Silverstein & Partners and AKQA.
Bassett’s work has garnered recognition from such industry competitions as the Cannes Lions, Clios, the ADC and The One Show.
“Peter is an incredible talent with a great track record of producing award-winning work,” said Geiger. “I’ve worked with Peter in the past, and can tell you that his passion for this business is perfectly aligned with our vision for the agency. He will be a major asset in assembling and maintaining a best-in-class digital production team here at D&G.”
Bassett said, “Not only is D&G experiencing some serious momentum of late, but there is also a great culture of creativity and boldness that gives us the chance to explore and make swift decisions. With clients embracing new production opportunities, I am ready to create some amazing work with the team and help bring their visions to life.”
