Ivan Perez-Armendariz and Ryan Skubic have been promoted to co-managing directors of CP+B LA. They replace Mason Reed who is leaving the agency to join a new start-up. Perez-Armendariz had been chief digital officer at the agency while Skubic led account management. Together, as co-managing directors they will focus on CP+B’s clients, employees, new business, culture, and overall management.
The move to name co-managing directors follows on the heels of Devin Reiter rejoining CP+B Boulder as co-managing director alongside Danielle Whalen. In both offices, organic growth and recent new business wins created the opportunity for an additional managing director, ensuring that MDs are able to work very closely with all brands and businesses within the agency. The LA office, which creatively is led by industry thought leader Kevin Jones, has had a string of successes lately winning PayPal and Braintree, and counts Charles Schwab, Applebee’s and NBA2K among their clients.
As chief digital officer for CP+B, Perez-Armendariz was responsible for overseeing CP+B’s digital capabilities throughout their global offices. Since joining CP+B in 2008, he has led many of the agency’s most inventive work, such as the mobile and web experience for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Domino’s e-commerce innovations, American Express OPEN Forum and Vail Epic Mix.
Skubic joined CP+B in 2003 as a key contributor to the agency’s work with MINI. Since then, he has led the agency’s work for Charles Schwab, NBA2K, Microsoft Windows, Nike and Volkswagen. Over the course of his career, he has worked in each of the agency’s three American offices in Miami, Boulder and Los Angeles.
