Long Haymes Carr, Winston-Salem, N.C., has named Mylene Pollock chief creative officer. Pollock was with Ogilvy & Mather, N.Y., as senior partner, group creative director and a member of the operating board.

Francisco Letelier has been appointed senior VP/creative director at La Agencia de Orci & Asociados. Before joining the Los Angeles-headquartered agency, Letelier served as creative director for Leo Burnett Chicago’s Hispanic division.

DDB Needham Chicago has promoted Bryan Sweeney to executive producer. Sweeney’s previous title was senior producer. The agency also upped producer Karim Bartoletti to senior producer.

Stephen Scherer has joined Wolf Group, Rochester, N.Y., as creative supervisor. Scherer comes to Wolf Group from Eric Mower & Associates, Rochester, where he was an associate creative director.

Additionally Matt McIntyre has been promoted to art director from computer technician, new business specialist.

“Memoir of a Snail” Takes Top Prize At London Film Festival
The Official Competition jury said: “Our jury was incredibly moved by Adam Elliot’s Memoir of a Snail, which is a singular achievement in filmmaking. Emotionally resonant and constantly surprising, Memoir tackles pertinent issues such as bullying, loneliness and grief head-on, creating a crucial and universal dialogue in a way that only animation can. The jury is delighted to recognize an animated film alongside its live-action peers.”
