Move over Vegas! There’s a new hotspot where you can bet on anything and everything—and it’s not even in Nevada. That’s the message which agency Off Madison Avenue, Tempe, Ariz., is getting out via a campaign that places bettors in offbeat slice of life situations. In the process, the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino—located near Highland, Calif.—gets some humorous promotion as an alternative venue for gambling and entertainment.
In this :30, we see a man seated on a park bench, eating lunch and feeding a portion of his sandwich to the pigeons. He acknowledges a friendly looking elderly couple seated on a bench across the way. The two senior citizens—a man and a woman—nod back approvingly.
But this idyllic park setting gets a blemish—actually more of a stain, on the man feeding the birds. Pigeon poop lands from above on the man’s shoulder. His reaction is one of disgust—however, the response from the couple who witness the bird dropping is quite atypical.
The elderly woman hands her male companion some money. "I thought for sure it would be the head," she explains.
"Shoulder—it’s always the shoulder," replies the old man.
A supered tag then appears across a black screen: "Get into the game," followed by the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino logo.
