THE SPOTS
Three :30s present stories of some of ampm’s more obsessive customers and suggest that for some people, a trip to the convenience store can be a spiritual odyssey. "Cravings" shows a man who confesses to a kind of post-modern ennui as he wanders streets and fields in his bathrobe. Enlightenment arrives in the form of an ampm Orange Juicy Whip. In "Store Wins," a man is mystified about his inability to leave an ampm without buying more than he intended. "Carnivore" features a woman pondering the struggle of her primitive ancestors to reach the top of the food chain while on a trip to buy a hot dog and a Slim Jim. The spots end with the tag, "Too much good stuff."
Spots broke in July.
