The Society of Composers & Lyricists has unveiled the nominees for the 4th Annual SCL Awards for score and songs in visual media. Among the nominated scores are those for The Whale, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Nope, The Batman and Don’t Worry Darling. Song nods span such artists as Taylor Swift, Diane Warren, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and Alexandre Desplat.
Winners will be announced and celebrated at an awards ceremony on February 15 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
Past winners who went on to win Oscars include Hans Zimmer for Dune; Billie Eilish and FINNEAS for No Time To Die; Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Jon Batiste for Soul; and Hildur Guonadรณttir for Joker.
Next month, the composer and director recipients of the SCL Spirit of Collaboration Award will be announced.
