Through a partnership with Austin-based Foundation Editorial, Nice Shoes has brought its NYC studio’s roster of colorists to Texas market clients. Facilitating this influx of talent to Austin is Nice Shoe’s proprietary Remote Viewing technology.
Established by Jason Uson in 2012, Foundation Editorial is a full service boutique offering that has crafted content for Nike, Walgreens, Zales, and LPGA. Nice Shoes and Foundation Editorial first connected on a project for non-profit A Better Chance, which Uson directed and edited, that was graded by Nice Shoes colorist Lenny Mastrandrea. After this successful collaboration, they decided to partner on a more permanent basis by installing Nice Shoes’ remote setup.
Nice Shoes Remote Viewing allows clients to collaborate with artists in New York in real-time, with no delay between New York and Austin. Nice Shoes engineers install a secure HD feed and a display calibrated to match exactly with the monitors in New York. Clients can work with New York-based colorists Mastrandrea, Gene Curley, Chris Ryan, Sal Malfitano and Lez Rudge, as well as Ron Sudul and Oscar Oboza, who are stationed at satellite offices in Chicago and Minneapolis, respectively. Nice Shoes is headed by CEO/president Dominic Pandolfino.
