Production and entertainment company m ss ng p eces has signed Japanese director Mr. Hide (pronounced Hee-day), formerly of RadicalMedia.
He is best known for his groundbreaking work on the 2009 launch of the Toyota Prius with Saatchi & Saatchi LA which went on to win a Clio as well as three honors at the 2010 AICP Show. The colorful, cheerful commercial titled “Harmony” finds a Prius negotiating a lively landscape in which the mountains, the grass, the rivers, the sun and clouds consist of people. This makes for an enjoyable commute, with the driver loving not only the comforts and performance of the Prius hybrid, but also the fact that the vehicle yields lower emissions, which will benefit the environment.
Mr. Hide’s other notable credits include the launch of Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Mini clothing line with Target.
