The Mill New York has appointed Angus Kneale to serve as its chief creative officer, a newly created role at the studio. He in turn has promoted Ben Smith and Rama Allen to executive creative directors.
As CCO, Kneale will set the creative vision for the NY studio and continue to collaborate with clients. He was one of the founders of The Mill’s first U.S. studio in NYC, helping to establish the stateside operation.
The Mill NY’s clients and partners will continue to be supported by Smith and Allen as they take the mantle of ECDs. Working closely alongside Kneale, they will push The Mill’s creative and technical capabilities.
Smith will be involved in overseeing all creative output from The Mill in NY and focus on Mill+ projects nurturing VFX artists, designers, editors and directors working together to craft great work. And Allen will help lead inventive projects with clients, directing and making interactive and immersive experiences. He will also help build initiatives like Mill Lab to showcase interdisciplinary innovation across The Mill globally.
