In the next month, Micah Walker will return to Australia to join 72andSunny Sydney as executive creative director. He will partner with the current leadership team consisting of: Mollie Hill, director of strategy; Ngaio McCreadie, director of talent and operations; Chris Kay, partner and managing director, APAC; and Johnny Tan, ECD, APAC.
Walker joins from Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Ore., where he served as creative director for the past four-and-a-half years, leading key clients such as Samsung, Dodge Chrysler, Booking.com and TurboTax.
Prior to Wieden + Kennedy, Micah served as executive creative director at Sydney agencies including The Monkeys, Mojo and Leo Burnett, and helped produce some of Australia’s most unique and memorable work. He was also previously a creative director and partner at Fallon London, for four years, during the agency’s storied, creative run.
“Almost five years ago, my family and I left for an adventure in Portland. As much as I loved W+K and the people there, not a day went by that we didn’t miss Australia. We’re stoked to be back home, close to family and good mates. And I’m genuinely excited to join 72andSunny and help the rest of the team here build something different and special,” said Walker.
