The Interface Group has hired colorist Norman Mears to work in the companys telecine department. Mears will oversee film-to-tape transfer for the facilitys clients, which include the National Archives, National Geographic, Smithsonian Institute, Library of Congress, and the Discovery Channel.
Prior to joining the Washington-based company, Mears spent 15 years at now defunct-KLM Video as chief colorist. Earlier, Mears served as a film timer for two years at now defunct Byron Motion Pictures & Video, and 13 years at now closed Capital Film Laboratories as supervisor of the timing department.
