Frank Devlin, formerly a senior producer at New York-based Black Logic for the past four years, has joined Liquid Light, New York, as executive producer. Liquid Light, (formerly Screaming Pictures), specializes in visual effects, compositing, and digital finishing.
While at Black Logic, which was called Tape House Digital until January ’99, Devlin was senior producer for Lubriderm’s "Impact of the Day" via J. Walter Thompson New York; Digital’s "Internet," via DDB Needham, New York; and "John," "Mike," and "Bernie," for Major League Baseball out of Lowe & Partners/ SMS, New York.
Devlin said that he would help to build Liquid Light based on his prior experience working with visual effects and producing graphics and animation. "My goal is to combine these interests by creating a studio where graphic designers, agency creatives, directors and editors can come to collaborate with our talent to produce visual stories," he said.
Liquid Light’s staff includes Inferno artist Amber Wilson and Fire editor Steve Volante. The company has finished spots for a number of clients including Clairol, Sprint, Maybelline, and Merrill Lynch.
While its new digs are being constructed, Liquid Light is temporarily sharing space with Vito DeSario Editing.
