GSD&M has appointed Kris and Alisa Wixom as group creative directors. In these two newly created roles at the agency, the husband-and-wife team will work across GSD&M’s client base and report directly to Jay Russell, GSD&M’s chief creative officer.
Seven-time Cannes Lions winners Kris and Alisa Wixom have worked together for 16 years in what they call “a harmonious union of marriage, creativity and hair products.” Hailing from TBWAChiatDay New York as global creative directors, the Wixoms worked on award-winning campaigns for Absolut Vodka, Skittles and Jameson Whiskey, among others.
The pair got their start at Lyon Advertising in Austin and also held stints at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Fallon Minneapolis and BBH New York. Their client experience includes iconic work for brands like Budweiser, Brawny and Levi’s, with accolades from Cannes Lions, D&AD, Effie, and One Show Awards. Additionally, the Wixoms garnered an Emmy Award commercial nomination for their Absolut Vodka’s “Anthem” spot.
