Über Content has added New York director Keith Ehrlich to its roster for commercial representation. He is best known as the creator and director of Made by Hand, a series of short films that celebrate the craftsmanship of local artisans. Already recognized as a member of the new generation of documentary makers, Ehrlich joins Über to further establish himself in the commercial arena.
Ehrlich arrives at Über Content having made the move to commercials with several client-direct projects. He recently shot a project for Coca-Cola in Myanmar to celebrate the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil, part of a global campaign out of Wieden + Kennedy Sao Paulo. Additionally, Ehrlich directed several Carlton Crown Lager spots out of Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne–part of a new campaign highlighting the brewery’s commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients available. Ehrlich has already worked with clients that include Nike, CNN, HBO, American Express, The Wall Street Journal, Smirnoff, Yahoo, and Cisco.
Two years ago, he was inspired to create and direct Made by Hand, an ongoing series of web shorts spotlighting people that make things sustainably, locally, and with a passion for their craft. The films have gone on to be seen by over a million people. The project was also featured as an official selection of the 2013 SXSW film festival. Last spring, the series was expanded with a touching documentary called The Bike Maker. The short film delves into the life of Ezra Caldwell, an inspiring and talented maker of custom bicycles, whose cancer threatens his livelihood.
