THE SPOTS
Three commercials spoof popular programs in a humorous campaign for Diet Dr Pepper. "Green Bay Watch" (:30/:15) features a takeoff on Baywatch, as scantily-clad beautiful people frolick through snow; "Crime Family Feud" (:15) spoofs Family Feud with Mafia types facing off on game show; and "Hudson Riverdance" features overweight "Irish" step dancers performing on stage. The ads end with a couple watching the take-offs on television or in the audience. As the dim-witted husband makes a ridiculous comment, the woman realizes that, "Not everything can be as good as the original, but Diet Dr Pepper is."
Spots broke in January.
