Production company JOJX has signed director Jake Dypka for U.S. representation spanning commercials and branded content.
Dypka has built a reputation for character-driven comedy. From depicting seniors raving for OnePlus to capturing heat sweats with thermal mapping for Burger King, and exploring flash photography for Samsung, Dypka excels at infusing joy into unexpected moments while demonstrating a strong understanding of comedic timing. Prior to joining JOJX, Dypka had most recently been repped by production house Florence. His body of work includes brands like Tinder, Hims, Klarna, Cancer Research and Babbel.
“The chemistry I felt with the JOJX team was instant,” said Dypka. “It truly felt like fate brought us together. Their passion for creative collaboration and commitment to excellence made me feel right at home. JOJX’s ethos and vision aligns perfectly with my own, and I’m thrilled about the potential to create work that reflects authentic human experiences. When you focus on projects true to your style, you naturally attract people who want to bring out your creative voice. The best projects happen when everyone is aligned and pulling in the same direction.”
“I’ve been an admirer of Jake’s work for quite some time,” said Jackson Morton, founder and EP at JOJX. “It’s a rare pleasure to witness a director evolve with such refinement and skill. Jake really is a remarkable talent and I’m inspired by his journey. His versatility is impressive; he defies categorization and continues to explore new genres in a way that feels authentic. His willingness to tackle fresh material is incredibly refreshing.”
Beginning his career editing martial arts training DVDs, Dypka transitioned to commercials, quickly earning acclaim for his innovative and experimental storytelling. His accolades include winning the Young Directors Award at Cannes Lions and directing the opening film for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase, thanks to his ongoing creative collaboration with UK poet Holie McNish. Dypka has also received awards from the UK Music Video Awards, Kinsale Sharks, 1.4 Awards, Webby Awards and more.
“Jake’s storytelling is incredibly compelling; with every campaign he releases, there’s another layer of depth he’s exploring,” said Sevasti Buford, who was recently appointed executive producer at JOJX. “He consistently surprises, actively building on strong foundations through genre exploration, production trickery and rich character development. I’m excited to watch him continue to grow.”
