Production house JOJX has added director Ben Tricklebank to its talent roster. Hailing from the U.K., Tricklebank has a body of work spanning commercial campaigns, interactive films and digital experiences. He’s known for his deployment of innovative technologies for breakthrough storytelling.
Tricklebank has directed films for such leading agencies as Droga5, DDB, BBH and Ogilvy & Mather, as well as Google, among others. Avoiding a traditional trajectory, Tricklebank got his start in filmmaking after working in music, photography, and design. His innovative and moving work as an artist reflects this background in multiple disciplines.
Tricklebank has worked with brands such as Delta, Chevy, Chase, Fitbit, Audible, Hennessey, Lexus, Mini Cooper, and PlayStation. Tricklebank’s recent campaign was a collaboration with Wild Turkey and actor Matthew McConaughey. Tricklebank’s work has been recognized with several accolades, including from the Cannes Lions, D&AD, and The One Show competitions. He and Erich Joiner directed Clouds Over Cuba, a News and Documentary Emmy Award-winning interactive film commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis. And Tricklebank’s live-action directorial debut was the Oscar-qualifying short Champ, which challenged toxic masculinity. Prior to joining JOJX, Tricklebank was most recently represented in the commercialmaking/branded content space by production company Furlined.
“Ben’s approach to storytelling is truly one-of-a-kind,” said Jackson Morton, executive producer and co-founder of JOJX. “His ability to seamlessly blend traditional filmmaking with emerging technologies like interactive media sets him apart as a true innovator in the industry.”
Tricklebank said, “JOJX’s approach to creating provocative and meaningful work through forward-thinking talent is what sets us apart from other production studios. They don’t just make commercials or videos–they craft stories that have the power to change minds and shift perspectives. I’m honored to be part of a team that puts purpose and creativity at the forefront of everything they do.”
