THE SPOTS
Gateway founder Ted Waitt is featured along with his best friend—a cow—in a series of three :30s. In "Cow Intro/Phone Call," Waitt, who is sitting behind his desk at Gateway Headquarters, receives a telephone call from someone who has "some great ideas, something big." He tells the company founder to meet him later at the mystery caller’s place. "Cow XP/Barn" shows Waitt in a barn listening to advice from a cow about a "revolutionary new operating system"—Microsoft’s Windows XP. And "Cow XP/Dressing Room" features the duo in adjoining store try-on rooms, with the cow passing on more valuable info to Waitt.
Spots broke in September.
